I know it was last week but as they say, better late than never…
Left Tolers at 5 am to a calm ocean and nice ride out to the 380 hole. Saw some bird activity in about 170’ of water and picked at the schoolie dolphin for a minute. After tagging and releasing a couple we kept pushing out to our destination. No real activity for an hour or so until the left short pops behind the spreader bar. Sailfish on and successfully caught and released. Pretty stoked to finally land one after missing so many on my boat this season. Slow but steady action throughout the rest of the day boating 7 more good sized dolphin. For two of the guys, it was their first trip and they were instantly hooked on the whole experience. Always awesome to see a first timer’s reaction to catching fish offshore. Wind picked up for a rough ride in but it didn’t seem to phase anyone after a pretty solid day. Sea Fox did a cool job editing the pictures and putting them up on the Facebook page.
