made it to the BlackJack Hole on the COVERED UP. Nice Ocean. Soon as I put out the Fred Archer RUCKUS RAISER in green and black it raised a SAIL and the fight was on. Made several jumps with the ruckus raiser dangling on its back as it leaped. We all laughed and wondered what the sail thought about all them squid hitchin a ride with him.
Soon as we cleared the lines and got him close the hook came unbuttoned and we were off again. Raised one other sail but couldnt get him to committ.
Came inshore and tried our hand at some jiggin but only talked a couple silver snappers into coming home with us. Knew she was gonna blow so headed in early. Glad we did, started early and the blow was something coming home. Stopped every 20 minutes to let little man sell Buicks over the side. He was a trooper! Dont let anybody tell you a 36 ft CC is dry either. Not in 25 knot wind!
And my CAPITAN had only a couple beers all day…Dr. Save A Dollar MOORE would have been proud. And left more for him too.
