My son and I had a couple of hours to fish on Saturday and were rewarded with some trout. We fished the last two hours of incoming and after moving several times were able to get on some fish. The Z-Man Green Lantern Paddlerz were the hot bait. Caught the first ones on the Eyestrike 1/8th ounce heads, but had to go to a 1/4 oz when then fish moved due to heavy current. The bite was as light as I’ve ever experienced this time of year and if you were not paying attention you would miss the fish. The only way we were able to get any strikes was by basically crawling the bait pretty much like my winter time retrieve. If you are not getting the bites don’t forget to vary your retrieve speed. We did not get any big ones. All of the fish were between 14-16" Water was nice and clean.
Nice report, I’ll try the slow retrieve next time around.
