When does the no fishing season start? Is it a done deal? How many miles out would it apply? 
yes fb it was an overnighter. bad news is this weekend and the next weekend is the last weekend for the overnight trips. out of all my overnight trips out i will say this. if you stay up it will pay off. anybody know of any boats out of savannah that go out overnight. and also do the SAFMC regulations cover the gulf?

It was Congress that has done this really. Not even the SAFMC. SAFMC is a strawman for us to throw matches on.
Magnuson-Stevens Act was reauthorized in 2006 with the timeline requirements and other stupid changes making them act asap on bad science. NOAA and Commerce can’t do anything without money and the law giving them mandates from congress and the president, which were both pushed by the environmentalists and liberals in washington.
We haven’t even been talking to the opposition all this time. Brilliant on their part…
We got screwed from the get-go.

Ouch… Is that only during certain times of the year or when we are under a whale advisory? Seems fruitless to have this law in the heat of the summer.
