Late winter/Spring fishing??

I was wondering how the fishing is from now till summer?? From what i am reading it is not too good right now. I have a trip to fish some small lakes in the upstate pre-spawn time, and then the Bahamas in June and i was trying to target a good time to come down and fish so when does it pick back up feb/march ?? I know about the summer time but not much/any knowledge about the late winter/spring. thanks

Its good right now. We got around 15 or so on fly last week and got three more to eat the fly yesterday.

It’s good any time you can go just try to say away from the back side of big cold fronts that drop down from the great white north that hit the water temps hard and back the fish out… that is if you have that level of forecasting and control over your scheudle. Hard cold fronts that suddenly drop the water temps can really slow things down quite a bit for a couple of days untile things warm back up and gets back into more of a normal winter weather pattern. However with that said, chasing big schools of winter reds is a real hoot, that is if you don’t mind the cooler weatehr conditions but I guess that’s relavant and depends on your perspective… some of these poor slobs in south don’t have a clue just how good they have it, right now about half of the state is withou power due to a big ice storm while the other half just broke 32 degrees for the first time in about a week. I’d take Charleston, some fresh seafood and the company of a few winter Reds just about any day of the week this time of year, we’ll be lucky to wet a line here until March!

Thanks guys! i kinda have a personal motto…I will fish anywhere…any time…any weather… I really don’t give a sh#$!!! Just wanna maximize my options! I actually think it is kinda cool when my guides freeze up? Sorta? Anybody out there tell me how to upload a pic or two?? I am a computer idiot. ?? I am a better fisherman than computer guy. I got a little ■■■■■ after i posted that i scored 1- or 17 trout on the fly in a creek near the Ben Sawyer nut i actually did and got a pic of the first one or two, after that i was tryin to release em. Fishin solo makes it fotos tough? any help would be great on the whole computer thang? thanks [;
