Lately in the grass

The reds in the grass have started getting more agressive recently and should continue on this pattern as the water temps start to cool. Going tomorrow to look for the tailers. Caught this guy a few weeks ago and just looked at the pictures tonight. Hopefully that tide is a little larger than predicted tomorrow. As long as that holds true, it should be a great tide.

I usually try to stay away from the water on holidays, but with the deck finally done, I have no more honey dos!!

Optiker, what’s your plans for the mid afternoon tide?

This is above all, my favorite time of year. College football is back, the tailers are hungry, and deer season is here…does it get any better?

Saw about 15 fish… But peapod’s right. They were probably mullet with red tails…

Saw about a dozen but couldn’t get them to eat what I was throwing. Most were small 16-20 inch fish.

Saw several dozen while walking the grass; none were tailing tho; no bite.

How do you get 17,000 post…good grief!

Weather is getting so nice for Trout.Heading out tomorrow for flounder.

Most of mine were doing the same. Cruising around but not very interested in what I was throwing. I had one look, but he never found it in the grass. All the others ignored the fly. Probably only three true tailers and they were smalls as well. I think the heat from the midday has everything to do with it. I’ll try again later in the week when the tide is in the afternoon and see if it helps any.
