Does anyone know if you can launch at the end of Bowens Island Rd. by Charleston Outdoor Adventures or do they not like you using it.

I think it’s like a $1 or $2 fee to launch (if you can find someone)! I have launched there before with the intention of paying, but not been able to find anyone…so…
I think the big thing there is to make sure you are parked good and out of the way.

I know it’s a few bucks to fish on the dock, but I have never seen anyone ask for money landing there. Just be courteous and like DolphinD said, park out of the way.
I have actually wanted to fish that area on my kayak. How is it there in the summer anyone?
Back in the old days Mrs Bowen charged a dollar or two to launch there. I think Robert Barber (her nephew?) carries on the tradition and collects $2 if he’s around. For some reason I haven’t tried fishing there but I dont’ see why it wouldn’t be as good as anywhere.

Is a good spot to fish would be a great place on a high tide a lot of flats around the area
