Hey everyone, I am unfamilar with the area and am new to kayak fishing. I am looking to launch my new yak in the wando and cooper and was wondering if people had any recomendations on launch spots. Any input is greatly appreciated. thanks.
Bushy Park on the Cooper, Paradise Landing on the Wando. Others will probably chime in with some other spots.
You may wan tto check out the Lowcountry Kayak Anglers, they usually meet monthly and have some very knowledgeable members.

Remley’s and Daniel Island pier
Boat drinks, Waitress I need 2 more boat drinks!
Second on the Paradise Island recommendation…easy launch for beginners. That is on the upper Wando, off Chandler Road in Awendaw.

Thanks for the input. Do they catch trout that far up on the wando?
Remly’s point is nice, but you can also consider it to be “open water” on a day with any wind. Try Shem Creek or the old Pitt Street bridge
Trout are few and far between that far up the wando…I’d stick to Shem creek paradise is good, definitely lock up your belongings though…seriously

I put in there all the time. Yes, there are tons of reds, trout and flounder up there. Like everywhere else, you just have to know where to go.
