I’m planning a trip to Kiawah for a weekend stay with the family. We were planning to take our Key West 203FS and rent a wet slip at Bohicket. I was thinking about leaving the truck and trailer (both new) at Remleys, Wappoo Cut, or Cherry Point for two nights. However, I’m concerned about theft and leaving them unattended for 48hrs.
I would not feel safe at Remley’s, Wappoo and definitely not Cherry Point. I’d feel a little better at Shem Creek.

Steel Man - Just another thought unless you want to cruise the water to Bohicket. Why not trailer the boat to Bohicket and get them to drop it in with their lift. Just a thought. They do charge but might be worth it.

A little heads up on Bohicket Marina slips…the current at mid-tides is brutal as hell trying to dock up, especially if your slip is up current of the tide when you are docking. (It’s not that crazy when you are nosing into the current).
There are some random free parking slips, depending on your skill and the skill of your crew, you might want to borrow one of the free slips until the tide works in your favor or plan your trips to dock at your best tide direction.

It is a long car ride from Bohicket marina to Cherry point. It is a longer time wise boat ride from Wappoo and even more so folly to Bohicket. I would do what was said earlier and get Bohicket Marina to lift you boat off the trailer with their fork lift and put it in the water. Then you could take your vehicle and trailer to the property on Kiawah. As an alternative you could maybe use the boat landing at Rhetts bluff on Kiawah to access the Kiawah and Stono rivers from the water it looks very nice.

My family has a house at Kiawah and we can’t even keep a boat at our house. The only way to keep one at the house is if you have a garage. There is a boat storage lot but it is only open to property owners along with the 2 boat ramps on the island.
Bohicket Marina will put the boat in and pull it out for $200. But then I still have to deal with the empty trailer as they will not provide storage. This will be plan B.
Hoping for nice weather so we can make the run from the Upper Wando.
When I need to park my trailer overnight, I leave it at Wild Dunes marina. You’ll have to pay each day to park it but it’s much safer than the other spots you listed. This will be much cheaper than the $200 at Bohicket.
Why not leave it on Kiawah? There’s the Rhetts Bluff Boat landing with plenty of parking but I am guessing that you can’t leave it overnight. There’s also the boat storage yard near KICA headquarters off of Sora Rail. I would check with KICA.
