lemon tree and bay tree

Will they survive this cold snap or do I bring them in? They are in pretty large pots.

bring them in. 20’s will probably kill them

Boat drinks, Waitress I need 2 more boat drinks!

The Laurel Bay is what most people grow. Its indigenous to the Mediterranean. If grown in the ground and well established it would fare the cold. My guess is that is the one you are growing. Given that yours is in a pot I would bring it in. We do have a Sweet Bay in the Magnolia family that is indigenous to the Carolinas. It likes low lying wet land. If you have that type of property it would be a cool addition to the yard IMO. I attached a link with information on the native bay. Good luck.

Some got to win, some got to lose…

if the lemon tree is too big to move, wrap in burlap or an old sheet or blanket and keep it near the house.
