Every time I shut my motor off the trim tabs start this auto cycle lifting them back up (even if they are already fully up). Makes an awful racket and probably spooked fish more than once. Obviously, they are wired this way to protect you from leaving them down but I don’t think I need it. Anyone ever changed this and how difficult is it to do?
Look for an orange (i think) wire leading from the black control box under the console or some other dry spot. This wire had a quick connect bullet plug on mine. Unplug this wire and you are in business. If you want that function back then just plug it back up.
Personally, I would rather have an extra 5 seconds of noise immediately after cutting the motor off vs. risking having a tab drag an oyster bed while I’m stealthily poling through a flat. I wouldn’t sweat it – maybe kill the motor 5 sec earlier, then it’s pretty much negligible.

True Bryson, probably help if I had mentioned I have a 20CC with t-top. I am typically anchored fishing so I need to get as close to fish as possible before anchoring up. From previous experience I never cut my motor until the anchor is secured hence the preference to kill this noise when I cut motor off.

I have a battery switch and two batts. I have Lenco tabs and the only time mine come up is once I switch the battery switch to off. I assume you could rig yours the same way, but I am not a wiring engineer.
all good advice

IF I RESPOND IN ALL CAPS, ITS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND I AM NOT YELLING
So does anyone know how far out the shaft extend on a lenco actuator?> Mine looks like 1.5 inches, thought it would be a little more than that.
Thanks
