Anyone know what has been going on at Fort Lamar behind Morris Island and Folly Beach? At 8 am this morning; 4 marked Sheriffs boats and at least 2 undercover go fast boats corralled 5 other boats in the headwaters of Lighthouse Creek. They detained 2 large charter boats and 1 smaller center console from 8 until 2:30 pm. During that time several other unmarked boats showed up and trolled around with all kinds of electronic equipment. It appeared that the CC operater was arrested and that boat was driven away by LEO. At 2:30, they finally released the sight seeing boats. However: at 8 pm , there are still 6 of the LEO boats hanging out behind Morris Island and in Lighthouse Creek. Pretty strange.
