I was thinking that some of use that use this board could get together some time next week and go fishing. I am going to be off from school next week and want to go fishing. None of my friends every really want to go. I have a 24’ party barge pontoon that we could use. It could comfortably fish 8 people. It has about 10 rod holders. I also have a livewell with a keep alive aerator, lots of fishing poles, lots of coolers, basically everything we need. I live in Timberlake on the Chapin side of the lake, and it is a 30 minute ride to the dam. I could pick up anybody at the dam in the morning at about 6am. It does not matter to me what day we go. I’d rather not go the 4th. I have been on a good streak of catching bait. I have caught my own the last 3 or 4 trips. So hopefully we can catch the bait, and the only cost will be gas and ice. I usually use about $20 in gas. If we can get a few people, it will only be about $5 a person. We can work out the details later, but is anybody interested in going fishing july 1-9. Let me know what day, and I will try to put a trip together. I don’t pretend to be a guide or a expert, I just want to wet a line. I know the basics, and have all the gear. That sounds fun. I will be traveling for the next couple of weeks so my schedule might not allow any fishing. When I get back I will gladly take you up on it. I live in Lexington, so where ever we meet it wont be a problem.

I’d go, but the only days I can go are the first and second. I work all week and I am going out of town on the 8th & 9th.
I am going to wait until friday and see how many people respond to this message. I was thinking that I want to go more than once. How about Sunday july 2, Thursday july 6, or saturday july 8? Who can go any of these days?

by the way. i am also a 31 year scholarship/ticket holding/tailgating/too much spent to pull for anyone else gamecock fan.i have missed only 4 home games in those 31 years. i also have not missed a kickoff or last play. why go if you are going to leave early?
Coolbreeze, I have not seen you on the striper board in a long time. I figured you mastered the striper and went silent. I will also help out with $$$$$$$$$$$$$ and beer.
steelytom; yeh, i mainly hang out around the shrimping site; sometimes the freshwater site also. i am interested in going striper fishing but as i said i am kind of a novice at it as it has been so long. i also have another buddy who would be a lot of fun on one of these things. hope that we can get a trip up. give me a call if you want.

you have to make it happen. you invited us-we accepted-then you called me at 11:30 fri night and said that your brother,his friends,and some of your friends all wanted to go. go ahead and take all of those deadbeats and leave us real fishermen and freeloaders on the bank pouting. JUST PULLING YOUR CHAIN REALLY. i understand how it goes. first you cannot get anyone to go and before you know it all of your buddies want to go. that is the way it usually happens.

I wish I could go with yall as well. I’m leaving for Texas tomorrow. I will be fishing Toledo Bend for a few days with my family. The really bad part is, I’m riding my motorcycle there. It’s an adventure, no interstate, just back roads. I’ll be back in a week or so, then we can hook up some fish. Good Luck.
