$10k is not cheap to me… but most of you all.
Buddy of mine reads this site, he thinks he can’t find a nice boat for under $5k. People usually get… buy this $60k Contender, Grady, etc.
So lets all post some of our functioanal “cheap boats” that we have just as much fun on as the $120k Fountain’s.

I got $2000 in my 16ft jonny bote. You can’t beat a jon bote for creek and inshore all around work.

2003 Polar Flats w/70 Yamaha. The lady on the bow is a 1963 model but doesn’t look it and still runs great. The boat was under 10 grand…the wife not so much.

Nope not you… Ernest down in Surfside is searching for a midshore boat (under 25 miles out). He told me he wasn’t getting one… since there is no nice boats in his budget ($10k).
Tried to tell him you can get a pretty nice ride for that… apparently he thinks everyone on this site be smarter dan me be. Could be right?

Small world. The whole family has really enjoyed the boat, it works for everything we do. The only problem we have had has been fuel related so the boat/motor itself has been great. I enjoyed meeting your Dad, he is a really nice guy. I have made a few modifications and plan to redo/add some gauges to the console this Winter. Give him my best to your Dad and tell him how much we are still enjoying the boat.
