Looking for a 6 person life raft to take offshore on my 27 ft cc. I would rather not have to move it around a lot so Ive been looking at fixing it forward right behind the anchor closet. Any thoughts on light weight, compact quality life rafts that can easily be serviced here in Charleston or Hilton Head. How about the Winslow ultra light. Pricey but very light and compact.
For that price it should come with a microwave and a frig

We just got a Viking 6 man. It’s pretty heavy but it fits in a one of the compartments on my boat. Hopefully won’t have to drag it out ever haha.

I had a Zodiac Coastal 6-man raft. You can find them for around $1500 pretty easily. The inspection and re-packing will cost you around $600. Get a valise style…it can be moved easily.

I have a Revere 6 person coastal compact life raft. It’s stored in a small valise maybe 24x15x6. I’m actually taking it in for service today to Air-Sea Safety downtown.
Thankfully, I’ve never had to use it.

Pull the string and inflate it when you bring it in for service so you can get some experience operating it
Mine is due sometime later this year and I am bringing it to Air-Sea as well. Can’t remember the name of the very nice lady there that I spoke to, but she suggested bringing my kids with me and all three of us can experience inflating the raft just in case it is ever needed

I have a revere 6 man - it needs to be re-packed … PM me - I will sell it CHEAP!
I found a revere 6 man offshore “commander” around 1500. A bit heavy at 70 lbs but fairly compact and should be easy to stow. It’s also USCG approved and doesn’t need to be re packed until three years.
Appreciate the info.
