I want to install a set of these on my trailer. I assume that one has to secure the pvc poles so that they don’t spin around. After that if anyone has any reccomendations on which lights to buy and ways to mount them I would appreciate it.
Thanks!
Buy Pipe Lights and be done with it! I have installed two incandescent sets on two different trailers and they are the ONLY lighting option IMHO. I’ve even had folks at the ramp ask me where I got them (got mine online). You do have to secure the PVC to the post, which I did with two 3/16" aluminum pop rivets and then you just wire them to the trailer. I wrap the wires and use shrink tubing. Replacement incandescent lights can be found for less than $10 at most automotive and ag. stores.
Pipelights are where it is at! I also have the LED lights that sit on top of the posts. Real nice for nighttime operations and it feels good to look back when towing and see those lights on.
Would yall mind posting a pic of said setup?
Here you go. They look even better in the dark.
Cool thanks. If youve seen my boat you know why I asked ; )
Hey Jazzed, swing buy and look at the way I set up the lighys on the McKee down the street.

I love my pipelight. I would recommend using extension cords for your wiring. They give the benefit of two layers of insulation and they can be used for one continous run from the receiver to the light, no breaks in the wiring for salt to get to. You just have to watch your wiring color close to mix and match the colors.
how do you splice the cords into the wires that go to the plug? I’ve never seen it before
