Are ther requirements the same as a motorized boat or just a stern light? Thanks

in the hours of darkness or low light you must have one white light visiable from 360 degrees. There are a lot of DIY lights out there but we do carry the Visi-Pole and Visi-Pole Carbon at the Charleston Angler. They also have reflective tape on them to make you more visable. Good for day time too wiht the bright orange flag.

Thanks man, found a base and stern light I had stashed for some reason and will wire and tag along a little 12v battery for the juice. Should suffice or should I refrain from batteries and such?

As long as it’s a sealed battery… Make sure you use marine grade connectors and all that jazz. I have a buddy in VA who got a big tupperware type box, cut a small hole in the top for the wires and such to go through and set up a seal for it and made his entire system encased and h2O tight… Seemed like a lit of work but it works and he loves it. I have the Visi-Pole Carbon and it ROCKS. Battery powered, waterproof, breaks down and stores in the flag and if I need to I can grab the top section and drop it over my shoulder for light to tie stuff on or change flies…
