Very, very, very shallow in that area and getting there.
Yes got to know how to avoid mud flat for sure.

Thanks Big Chief.
Might want to wait and follow someone else in!
Thank chief! This is my first year shrimp baiting or even catching shrimp as a hobby. I definitely know what you mean about how shallow it gets around that whole area. Last 2 times I went I was busy catching some shrimp right outside of Agnew creek with an outgoing tide during sunset. Me and my buddy were watching the depth finder to make sure we could make it out before we got stuck on a mud flat for a couple of hours but I guess time and catching shrimp don’t mix. I’ve never filled a whole cooler yet but 1/3 or 1/2 so I guess I’m not doing too bad.
I live about 3hrs away and don’t get down every weekend but at least every other weekend. My freezer is full after this weekend. I hope to get back one more time before it goes out. We got them in a deep hole 2 weeks ago. This past week end we caught them in the deep hole. However once tide started out we set poles on the edge of the deep hole and would catch 100-200 shrimp a throw.

Casino Creek leaves waterway headed for Cape Romain Harbor just west of Alligator Creek and hits the Harbor with more navigable depth. Shoot straight across Cape Romain Harbor from the entrance to Casino Creek and the pier jutting out into the Harbor is the Cowpens area of Cape Romain Harbor.
Excellent report. Shem has been spotty this year.
