Limit of Shrimp

My son and I drove 3 hours on Sat and caught a nice limit of shrimp free casting! Looks like its going to be a great year!

Any size to them? There’s not much worse than having to head 2500 shrimp after getting home from an all day or all night trip.

Never thought about this! Are you able to take and keep Free Casted Shrimp, for the home table, all year round? Or is there a limit on what you can reasonably expect to be, for bait? Also is there a slot limit for shrimp? Do I have to throw this guy back?

like you said Easy, it limits it to “bait” quantity and stops wholesale removal of large prespawn shrimp when they’re packed up tight in the winter. if you know the whereabouts of some 16ct shrimp in February, it still may be worthwhile to stop and get a gross of 'em though!

No restrictions, 48 quart limit from May 1- Dec 15, then limit is 12 dozen, for fish bait use only.

I always just free cast and we usually have the freezer full before baiting season even opens.

You’d better shoot that shrimp before you try to haul it on board! Can you imagine trying to handle that thing alive… the little ones hurt like hell, I done even want to think about it if they got that big.
