Saltwater Offshore Reports

So finally got to go offshore yesterday and fish with Sellsfish and his son. Left Remely at 0615 to go find bait. After loading up the well we headed out to 150?. Got over a couple spots and see something good on the screen. We drop rods to give it a test. Started catching pinkies. We decided to set anchor. Put baits back over and are catching pinkies when Sellsfish son yells got him. His rod is bent over hard. Get it to the top to find a 30lb gag. No sooner get it in the boat another rod goes. Sellsfish brings in his 15lb gag. About 30 minutes later the mahi show up. We start bailing 25 inches left and right. Had are limit of pinks so moved in some. Find a spot and the b-liners, bsb, and triggers start coming over the side. Packed up the boat at 1530 with 2 gag, limit of b-liners, limit of bsb, limit of pinks, 6 trigger, 3 jolt heads and 6 mahi. It was a great day out there and everyone was glad to finely get out and pull on some fish. Sellsfish?s son?s gag was and awesome site along with the 300lb blue marlin that was free jumping 100 feet from the boat. Will post pics later.

We need to hook up soon and go. I am glad you got to go.

I am upgrading a few things in my boat over next few weeks. I might need a ride until things are completed.

I dunno, sells- that gag only looks about 29lb 13 oz to me… you take that to a certified scale??

Bonzo: It was a great day and if felt good coming back to the dock with fish for once. Yes you and Capt. Ed next trip. I will even through is some miller light on the boat to give you a little more motivation.

Cliff: I am watching the weather and will keep you posted. July and August I should be able to get more time off.
