If 40inchneverbeenoffshore had ever actually run braid trolling offshore he wouldn’t be posting here…braid run through riggers will eventually tangle at the clips and fold the rigger.

Let’s see if we can get another page or 2…few years back, back in my offshore days, I fished with a guy who used braid on his downrigger lines… Not 100% sure but I think he did have around 30 yards of doubled up mono for leader. He said he ran it because it cut the water better and got deeper easier. This guy is/was an avid offshore angler and tournament fisher…

Maybe the doubled up mono was on the other trolling rigs…hard to remember…its been close to 10 years now…
