Lipped Mirrolure

Having a hard time finding the lipped model 52 either L52M or L52MR
Anyone know who sells them in a store or where online they can be ordered?

Thanks
Rick

not sure if I have ever seen a lipped 52, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist as L&M has made many styles over the years. The 29 is a pretty good plug as far as lipped divers go…

On further review…it does indeed exist!

I have been trolling them for trout for many years but they are hard to find. The chartreus lipped L52MR-CH is a killer and so is hot pink L52MR-HP
I am down to my last two, I am going to call L&M in the morning.

Rapala suspending husky jerk or smithwick suspending rogue are both good replacements if you can’t hunt em down. Swap out the hardware for slightly heavier hooks or split rings to make sure it doesn’t float in salt water.

I like to troll for trout too, and have one (Chartreuse/Red Head) but never use it. Do you mind telling me: how deep is the water and how deep is the lure running?

I troll in creeks off main rivers. I put out two lipped mirror lures and usually a green curly tail grub long lined down the middle. I zig zag and bring em as close to the bank as I can depending on tide and snag conditions. I pull close to the grass on high tide and middle of the channel on dead low. If they are there, this will find them. The lure will run down 6-8 ft depending on how far back you let it out.

Interested to hear if they still sell them.

ECU: interesting. do you troll the lipped divers into or with the current?

as a former troller, I found that

if I trolled with the current, they didn’t get down enough. or if I went fast enough to get em down, it was too fast.

if I trolled into the current, I didn’t like the presentation because the I was pulling it the wrong way.

I dont pay any attention to the current as I go as troll as far up the creek as I can then turn around and troll back out, i just go as slow as possible, sometimes I am trolling them with my RipTide trolling motor and sometimes I am just bumping my 70HP Yamaha in and out of gear. I do think most people go too fast. The colder the weather, the slower you go as the trout are lethargic. Go just enough to keep em off the bottom.

If the local guys cannot order them for you, you can order straight through their website. The owner, Eric Bachnik is a really nice guy. I special ordered some items for him many years ago that the distributors for this area were not carrying.

I called their office in Fla. and they are discontinued. A sweet lady named Debbie went out into the warehouse for me and looked around for misc. ones that may be laying around and I now have purchased the last known L52MR lipped classics to ever leave the Mirrolure factory. I bought all 31 she located (got lucky and got good colors too.

Wow, good going. And thanks for the info.

I have some discontinued colors, am scared to even throw the ones that are the last one left. Only in tournaments.

Really like the 43MR808 and found five of them a couple of years ago with the old price tag still on them. i take the big hooks off and put the standard issue red ones one. Secret weapon sometimes.

I love fishing Mirrolures. The trout slam that bait. I bought a large selection a few years ago and am slowly going through my inventory. My favorite is the TT 808.Thankfully they discontinued that model…Glad you were able find a few,FYSA you can find a few discontinued models on EBAY.

TT808 is discontinued? (**(). One just like it, almost, that you can still find , is the TT750. Light chartreuse shaded over gold on the side, top and bottom are like the 808.
