Got a late start with Captain Greg Newman but were rewarded with a glassy ocean and great bite on live bottom in 63 feet.

I decided to go lite for a change and it was a blast with 10# test and a bass rod. I’ll scale down to 8# for the next trip.
Caught a 6 foot shark on live bait when my reel handle screw broke off. It was lots of fun reeling it in with the star drag.:sunglasses:

35 bsb
25 ring tails
3 sharks
3 gags

Bsb’s were fun but try a gag pullin on a bass rod. Drag got workout for sure.

Thanks Hydro, but like I said before, the Good Captain put me right on top of them. Not much skill to dropping it in their mouth, but a whole lot of fun!
