People have been going out in little boats WAY BEFORE Charlestonfishing.com, WAY BEFORE Spot, WAY BEFORE EPIRBs, WAY BEFORE GPS… It’s fishing. It isn’t rocket science! A little bit of buddy system goes a long way!

Exactly!! You have to use some common sense and being a little crazy doesn’t hurt either!:wink: I do the best that I can with what I have to work with. The OP gave me all kinds of heck about taking my boat out there, but I think his mind has changed a little. Again, great job Jon!! Does this mean that you will venture out on mine sometime?!? :slightly_smiling_face: Of course, though, my Yammy has a few more hours than the boat you went on(1983 hrs)…[:0]:wink:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW

I am impressed, fish has got to be 300lbs but I guess never saw one beside a boat that small

That is the TRIP OF THE YEAR, I would sit at the jetties and drink beer the rest of 2011

If your boat rode like mine, we could talk about it.

It is a great story. This is something you will clearly remember until the end of your days.

As far as boat size and how far, I would say it is not so much the size of the boat, but the wisdom of the one who captains it.

Very happy for you. The sea gods have blessed you.

I apologize J, I was actually asking Jon. I should have separated the post a little better. But, my boat rides nice and smooth in the creeks, though!!:wink:

I know KW is probably in the middle or lower tier of boats, but I have abused mine tons, and it has been like an old Timex!!:face_with_head_bandage:[:0]:wink:
