little boat report

A tad bumpy early the other day so we didn’t get out as far as we’d like, but we managed to find a dozen dolpin in 120’ that wanted to come home with us.

Great day!

That’s a great riding 21’ boat.

Dad built them a long time ago. The reels are old too, but still work pretty good.

Nice catch! And nice gaff shots!

Thank you Kelsea, it was my first time gaffing a fish. I have to learn to keep the point away from the boat when lifting the fish.

Wando he said they’re Lamglass blanks with Aftco rollers and butts. Sounds funny to me.

Mr. Guy, it’s a great boat, but it didn’t like the ocean that morning. Wet and rough.

And yet another nice catch! Dang boy, nice job on em, some decent dolphin for 120’.
Nothing a little gel coat repair won’t fix!

No! We ate them. Dad said they were 12 to 15 pound dolphin, but would likely go 30 on the internet. I don’t think I would be allowed to gaff a real 30 pounder.

Shady, I’m too young to be a pro but I have seen a fish. I’ve seen them gaffed before too, but this was the first time dad let me stick them. They were flipping and wacking me good.

Well Done!!!
