I’m trying to purchase a yak near Ft.Meyers.The guy wont ship.Hey P4R or Yotf …ya’ll got any ideas?..There is a new airline in G’ville flying 1 way to orlando for 49$…I just posted asking how far he would drive…If it worked out that he would drive that way…then…what about finding a shipping terminal and what kind of $ to ship

I would take a long weekend trip down there, only about 8-1/2 hours drive for you. Have him met you in Tampa/Bradenton.
Leave Friday Night… Then you could pick up the yak Saturday morning, fish Tampa Bay area until Saturday afternoon, drive a few hours north to southern Georgia, just north of Jacksonville, and fish near Brusnwick, GA, for a few hours… Then drive home Sunday night from there, about 4 hours total.
If you go to KFS, you might be able to hook up with some of the Florida and Southern Georgia yakkers, and get guided trips…
Heck, you might be able to have some of them shuttle the yak northward… Say Jacksonville when there is a get together there.
Final option, I think it is Yellow Freight that will ship it for a small fee.
Hope this helps… When do you want it here… I am also planning a trip to Bradenton around New Years, and might be able to get it this far…

Check Old Dominion Freight Line http://www.odfl.com/ They have a service center in Ft Myers and Columbia or Charleston. KFS uses them, I dont know if they have special rates but it is only $49 to ship from NJ to SC.
