To you guys that know this area. How much will all of the flood water impact the fishing around Dunn Sound and back creeks in this general area? Was down yesterday at lunch and the waterway looked like chocolate milk(didn’t stop the boaters). I know this area is brackish water all the time, but didn’t know how much it would be influenced by all of the flood water/runoff.
For yesterday to be a Tuesday, there were a lot of people on the water.
Don’t really know how much the freshwater affects the fishing especially closer to the ocean.
I was skunked the last 2 times out.
I blame it more on the huge crowds then the water.
been lately?
I haven’t been on the water in a couple weeks. Working out of town really putting a crimp on my fishing.
Carl from Platts seafood said there was a real strong flounder bite in Cherry Grove last week. Said he seen several limits with quite a few fish over 20".
Be home this weekend and try to hit the water early Saturday morning before the crowds.
