I was just looking at something else on the boat and noticed this little tube running up from the foot and snaking along with the other hoses and cables into the motor. It’s worn out and it looks fairly simple to replace, just wondering if there was a special tubing to use or just the stuff you see at Lowes.
Speedo tube? That’s what it sounds like, if so, it prolly isn’t even hooked up to a speedometer, just capped off inside unless you have a seperate speedometer that dosen’t run off gps or transducer paddlewheel. I took mine and just tied a knot in the hose above where it comes out of foot and cut rest off. I’m sure any hose that size would work if wanting to replace tho.

Sounds like the same setup on my 70 Yamaha. Speedo tube that has a little plug in it as there is currently no speedo.
