I trailer down from upstate to broad river for the cobia run in the spring and seem to always have to spend more time to find bait.Used to get eels at McElveens at the bridge but they stopped carrying bait.
Beaufort bait is good but I’ve found them out when I need them!!!
LOOKING FOR OTHER SOURCES IN AREA!!!

Thanks GW

Bolen Hall Seafood carries live bait now and they told me they would have eels for cobia season. I’ve never seen live greenies or mullet in a bait shop anywhere. Mullet are usually easy in a cast net, greenies usually easy on a sabiki, any live fish or crab works. Heck, dead fish will work. I prefer live whiting and crabs to any other bait.

I use that landing a lot and have never seen him myself. There are often crabbers there who will sell you a few live crabs though.
