Doesn’t really pertain to what I catch offshore but I’m trying to get an idea on whether people want this service or not, already posted in the discussion section but I wanna make sure everyone gets it. I set up a bait tank at my house to hold fish for when I go offshore fishing. Keeps from having to find the bait fish in the morning when you’re trying to run offshore. Just wondering if anybody would be interested in buying bait at the landing before they got out, maybe between 4 and 6am. Its a 250 gallon tank and is set up with saltwater. I will fill the tank with fresh live bait on Friday night or Saturday morning. I would just be offering this service at Remley’s or Shem Creek boat landing, which ever I get a bigger preference for. Just trying to figure out if this is worth getting another tank and keeping it in the back of my truck. I would have all the legal licenses and permits for selling the bait. Just let me know if you’re interested and I’ll make my decision.
Sounds like a great idea. Very convenient for guys heading offshore or to the jetties. I’m not sure if you would make enough selling the bait to make it worth your while but I’d definitely buy some fresh live bait at shem creek to save a hour in the morning.
This would be good for tournaments or when hitting the ledge for the early bite and don’t have time (or can’t see) to catch bait before.
Sounds like a plan. Don’t fish out of Charleston much but if I did would probably buy some depending on what the price was. Fished the GreaterJacksonville King tournament and blue runners were being sold for $120 a dozen. That price would only work down there.
Alright, I’ll give it til the rest of this week to get all of my ■■■■■■■■, then I’ll see if it’s worth it. Worst case scenario, I can get my bait dealer license and will still have plenty of bait in my tank and can sell to anyone interested the morning I go out. I would just post when I’m going out and how much extra bait I have.
Alright Steve, I work Fridays so I would just be selling it Saturday and/or Sunday. I would post on here when I would be at the landing. So far enough people have had interest so I may go ahead and get my license and get another tank going
Just a word to the wise, I believe there is a posting at Remleys that expressly prohibits any business at the ramp itself. Might want to try meeting up somewhere else to avoid the problem. Good idea just don’t want you to get more trouble than it’s worth.
