Live bait

Trying to catch live bait in the mornings for kings . Always heading out of Charleston harbor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Tide matters…low tide and it can be easy to see and catch menhadden. Much harder at high tide. We often have good luck behind and in front of Morris island. Also in the ICW around and past the SI bridge.

Also watch for the pelicans diving… I guess the first question should have been have you caught menhadden around here before…??

I believe the captain that already posted on this subject, is extremely accurate. Tune in ch65 .

The last month and a half, I have seen hadens in front of Marsh Harbor. The bigger high tides lately, I’ve seen them nearly at the headwaters of creeks that dump in ICW.

Get out and look, one could go to Cove Inlet, and sit with binoculars and find hadens in almost every direction.
