When you guys use live bait for macks do you use a circle hook or j hook? Going to make some stinger rigs and was wondering which hook is better through the nose.

I always use treble hooks and nothing but treble hooks when using live bait for spanish and kings.

Ive been twisting up wire king rigs for a while. #4 3X strong treble hook, 41lb coffee colored wire, add a duster or naked but there is another option that I have been paying attention to. The three hook rig. Ive made several sets up. Check it out. Wire and rigs are a pain to deal with. Looks like the three hook rig ties to a piece of floro leader. Pretty Simple. Maybe more applicable to dead bait fishing though.
I like the idea of using fluoro with the 3 hooks. What size hooks are you using? 6/0? Im gonna try it next trip out.
