Live bait is still working at Murray, Hartwell, and the Hill. The warmer weather and the longer days means that the stripers move off the shore earlier in the day now. For example, the mid-morning bite is in 20-ft at the Hill this week. Three weeks ago it was in 12 feet.
Thus, you’re hearing more about pulling plugs, u-rigs, etc. Most of the guys are pulling off the bank and moving into their summer routines.
We’ve got (maybe) two weeks left of live bait in shallow water.
