Live shrimp

Are there any marinas/docks/bait shops that you can pull up to on the boat to buy live shrimp? Or when you guys use live shrimp are you just catching them yourself? I’ve tried a couple of times but seems most places only carry frozen? Thanks

Charleston Marine and Hankel(sp) will have them… most of the time they sell out fast and im not even sure if they have started carrying them yet this year…

I don’t think Charleston Marine ever stopped selling them. I bought some in January and February. I caught my first redfish on shrimp from there, so I know they are selling lucky shrimp.

I haven’t found any available on water. Either have to hunt them down with the net or try to get from Haddrells to the landing without killing them.

Try Crosbys Folly Rd, 843-795-4049 they dont have them this week but should by the end of the month because they only buy localy.
Seems like they always have MMs if that helps. leaving Folly landing headed towards the Stono take the first creek on rt just past the docks at Mariners cay, remember to stay left of the little grass flat in the middle of the creek and just fallow the creek till you come too Crosby’s, cant miss it. Im an upstate guy but come down for several days at a time for the last few years and put in at Folly at least 20 times a year

X2 on Crosbys. But there not hard to net on the water and I don’t ever have a problem with keeping them alive unless I have several errands to run, or its boiling hot outside

charleston marine had em yesterday. usually a good idea to call ahead though

bought me plenty of skrimps from crosbys over the past couple of years i must say
