i had a livewell pump replaced a couple of weeks ago and have only been out once since. pump switched on with no problem but no water into the livewell. upon inspection at the back of the boat the pump was running fine but bubbles were pumping out the intake at the back of the boat. could this be a reversal of the polarity during wiring or something more sinister? any input would be appreciated as i get a small window of opportunity to fish in the morning and would rather do that than trailer back to charleston marine (i like the shop and everyone there but i would much rather fish…nothing personal). thanks in advance mike
sounds like wiring reversed to me

yep…
reversed them and will try it in about an hour. i’m thinking positive as i am out of my element with all things electrical. mike
Switch the positive and ground wire connections to the power source. The pump is running backwards the way you currently have it hooked up. The livewell pump is working like a bilge pump. Reverse the connections and Ta-Da you have a livewell pump. Hope it helps.
