Last week on a fishing trip my livewell pump stopped working. It still runs when I hit the switch, but does not pump any water. Is the pump bad or could it be anything else ? It is 10 years old and on my 2001 Sea Pro 18ft. It has never failed until the other day. Any info is much
appreciated.

Is the high-speed pick up clogged?? Is the valve opened? is the tubing clogged? Does water run through it while all valves are open and you are running at full speed?? If water isn’t flowing when the valves are open and you’re running at speed then the intake line is probably clogged.

Yes the valve was open, but I honestly don’t remember if water was coming into the livewell while running at high speed. If the intake was clogged, how would I go about unclogging it ?

Your pump motor is probably running but the shaft has broken and the impeller is not turning (If the line is not clogged)

The lines are not clogged. The pump runs, but doesn’t pump. I pulled it out tonight and will replace. It lasted 11 years. Thanks for the help.
