hey elgebee, LKA looks like a great group! looked from the pics like copahee was a success. any advice in terms of how to time the tide so I don’t have to do the stomp?! I’ll be down in a couple weeks fishing with my bro-in-law, who I’m working on turning into a kayak fisherman
About an hour-and-a-half before and after low tide the launch is easy to paddle. The sound looks wide open at high tide, but when the water is leaving it is good to keep an eye on the oysters - when you start seeing shells, it is best to head for deeper water. I’ve seen folks stuck out there at low tide having to wait for the water to come back - make sure you have plenty of drinking water!
