I’ve always thought the shrike was a cool bird. It catches small prey, then hangs it on a spike, thorn, shrub, barbwire, etc. I passed one on my walk at lunch, then passed these two crabs just a few yards away. Either he is getting ready for lunch, or going sheepshead fishing.
