left shem creek at 5:45 a.m. with Thee Pirate and a couple other buddys and went out to the east yesterday. started on the ledge at an ole faithful hole and nada. so we decided to head back in to about 130-120 and picked at em all day making our way back inshore all day. ended day with 3 gags, 5 genuines (biggest at 22lbs), 2 red grps, 3 scamps, 4 limits of cbass, and a handful of bliners, trigs and the other stuff. not a breath of wind all day but there was a little bit of ground swell. headn in, we made it 20 miles from the rocks when the lower unit on the motor went out. so we got on the radio and had the USCG call sea tow and they were out to us at about 7:15 and we were back in shem creek at 11:30 last night. all n all i was happy to be back within the same day. It could of been much worse and thankfully the weather didnt pick up like they were callin for last night. also wanted to say thanks again to Sea Tow and USCG for being there! If you go offshore you should be a member of Sea tow!
What type of engine do you have? I have a brand new lower unit for a Suzuki 200. Long shot, but I thought I would ask.

funny ive never had seatow till monday night when i finally signed up and sure enough i will never not have it again. they were very speedy and gave us reassurance that we had a way home. best money ever spent if you ask me. great trip if it had not ended with a rope attached to the bow.
