Left the landing around midnight and as usual the weather man lied. Long cold bumpy ride. Dropped lines about 5:00 am. Winds were kicking to 20+ and we decided to troll and let the guts settle. Ended the day with 5 Blackfin and numerous misses on what ever and of coarse quite a few AJ’s and bonita. Thanks JD, for brining me along it was awesome. Hopefully the weatherman is correct next time. Have pics but don’t know how to install. Would someone email me and explain as I am not very comp savy.
Midnight??? Lines in at 5, holy @#$% bro! That sounds like an April trip, maybe ya’ll fished in Florida…doh. I stayed in when I heard the weather changed and hit the flats for some reds. At least you made it out and had fun.
As far as the pics go, you need a photo phucket account and cut and paste and all that crap.
That is hard core!!
Umm, you gonna eat that?©
Any time Don… you are always welcome on my boat…

Thanks for the help Steve I will try to down load tommorrow, It didn’t seem hard core on the way out as solo’s Cape Horn handled the seas well especially, with the bean bag I was kicking back on. It was just when we stopped the weather changed in a blink of an eye. I am sure you all know how that goes. In all we all had a great time I believe.

5 hour ride out in the pitch black on a cold february morning!?!?! I threw up a little in my mouth when I started to think about that. You guys are more hard core than myself. Good going on making the best out of it and putting some meat in the box.
skinneej,
I am still recovering but to tell you the truth I dont regret it for a second. I just wish we could beat the lying weather lads.

Change Fast? Weather? NO!!! The weather man is always right and tells you your windows…right?
That’s my gameplan for 2009, take his word and fish my windows…

FB,
I need you to start posting some substance. Chartering a cruise ship and beating a weather man neither congratulates the angler that started the thread nor offers any beneficial fishing knowledge. This isn’t a sixth grade instant message session. Give it a rest.
Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.

I’m sure this is a freaking joke!!! I wish I could meet the guy that gets paid those big bucks just to tell lies. Could you guys imagine, getting paid to BS? As far as windows goes his must have been shattered Sunday. All I can remember about our location was we were closer to Florida than we were to S.C. I didn’t look at the GPS as I was being curteous to JD as we were running his Cape Horn. And I was just thankfull for the invite.

Long run in the middle of the night sounds fun. Hey catching fish does’nt hurt either.
No sir it never hurts bending rods no matter what the seas.

I had my buddies fired up to go Sunday, at 4 am I looked at the weather buoy, it said 26 MPH and 4.6 at 5 seconds, and the cancel calls went out. Hats off to you guys, glad to hear there is still fish out there.

Touche,
FB is simply making light of a serious situation that occurred in our waters late last spring. Just FYI.
