long weekend all-inclusive trips on the cheap

the wife and I are looking to take a long weekend and head somewhere for an all-inclusive drink-it-up-all-meals-included-sunshine-warm-water type of place. I’ve been to Jack Tarr and Sunset Beach Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Looking maybe Jamaica, Dominican Rep., Mexico, etc…any inexpensive suggestions?

Looking to save $$$$?

Prices in Caribbean can drop a lot after mid-April.

I was looking at last minute deals on Orbitz the other day and saw what looked like a few deals…IS it really worth it to go all inclusive or just wing it food and drink wise…

yea, the not spending a lot of money is the fifth goal of this trip after 1) just the two of us, 2) warm weather, 3) included booze and food and 4) well, just imagine combining the previous three plus some candles…and you get my point…

depends on whether you ask me or her…all I am saying is that if we were to sit around a pool bar for a long weekend sipping on $5 beers and $8 glasses of wine we could do some major damage…

I’ve done the Jam. thing, it was nice. Why not try Negril, we had a good time there. The Moon Palace in Cancun ain’t bad either. Big tub in the room in Moon Palace and a few candles and you can write your own happy ending!:imp:

Avoid Moon Palace during high school spring break time frame. This is the only valuable advice I’ve ever posted.

if you arent married to the all inclusive thing there is another way to travle on the cheaper side. Check out spiritair.com you may have to fly out outside of charleston but you can fly guatemala for $60 mexico for $25 etc etc. The rates vary. real popular with us surfers who dont need a lot a frill and would rather spend our money on a good quiver of boards. I know a guy who flew to LA for $9

In other words the $$$ you save on a flight might offfset the $5/$8 drinks and rediculous meals. Costa Rica is very affordable
