Lookin' Forward to New Forum

Thanks to Administration for this new forum!! Like someone else said on another post, Striper fishin’ is as close to saltwater fishin’ you get without being there. I really hope to see some good input on this forum as to Lake Murray, Lake Hartwell, etc. Since I live in the Charlotte/ Union Co area (as some others on this board) I often fish for freshwater stripes when unable to travel to the coast. I can make a good day trip to several of the inland lakes & advance info & fishin’ reports will be a great help. Thanks again & Tight Lines.

I second the congrat’s . I just noticed it today. Nice to have a striper site for local interest. This should be a hot one. The other sites tend toward northern waters and salties. For sure most stripers caught in S.C. are in lakes and rivers. I look forward to the upcoming season heating up.

*You can’t get catch’um if you don’t go.

My Dad and brothers fished L. Murray last Thursday with Hollow Creek Guides - - pretty much skunked. They caught 2 keepers, one about 10 lbs., but 3 other small fish, including a perch.

Live herring about 35-40’ down. Said they had plenty of lookers on the screen, but not many takers.

I happened to be in Oklahoma with an intestinal flu so they did better than me, but not by much.
