Looking for 2nd cooler

I am looking at getting a second cooler to take on my boat. Looking for something around 60 qt. is there anything between the average cooler and the super coolers. Dont want to give up $350.00+ for a cooler. Sugestions?

A wise man once said “Do as I say not as I do” Good advice when I tell you that.

Coleman extreme is all you need.

Check Sam’s and Costco. Its the end of the season and they usually have closeouts!

Just got an Igloo Sportsman 55qt. It’s built in the same fashion as the Yeti (rotomolded, strong, heavy insulation) but at a good bit lower price. Might still be more than you are looking for, but I really feel like it’s the best cooler out there for the price.

200 bucks at Sam’s Club. Should last a decade plus.

I got an 80qt GOTT brand cooler at a yard sale for $5. Looks like crap but keeps ice very well and hasn’t been stolen yet.

My coworker showed me that same cooler he bought at Sams last week. Alot like a Yeti, but it sounded hollow when I tapped on it. Could be my hearing as the wife says it’s not to good:smiley:!

I agree with Jordan, best thing about an igloo is you can leave in the back of the truck and it will be there when you get back. You can add expandable foam and seal with 5200 into the lids of cheaper coolers to increase ice retention. Any cooler you open and close a bunch with melt ice faster than the one you leave closed.

I got one of the nice igloos with stainless hinges etc for about $100.

What is it’s intended usage? Like scdiver, I have one of the nice Igloos with stainless hinges and latch. It does all I could ask for for a single day of fishing. For years I used cheap Coleman coolers and this Igloo is 100 times better. Best bang for the buck in my eyes. I have friends with expensive coolers and without precooling mine does the exact same as theirs, and its a whole lot lighter. I also sit and stand on it plenty but I’m only 175lbs. West Marine has them on sale now.

ORCA. lifetime warranty, made in USA, cheaper than YETI.

I have Yetis, they suck if you don’t put 9 sacrificial ice bags in the,. The Igloo Marine work well. The front of my Hydra Sport has a built in Frigid Rigid “coffin box” under the seat and I still think the Igloo Marine holds ice just as well.
