Looking for a 73-79 F100

If anyone knows where one of these older trucks are sitting around let me know. I am looking for a few parts for mine right now. I have been looking on Craigs, but haven’t found what I need.

Thanks

Gonna be a hard find on a complete truck with out spending a good chunk. After the high steel prices and obuma’s famous cash for clunkers, finding old car parts is getting hard.

Wish I could help, those Sixth Generation year trucks are some of my favorite.

What you looking for?

“If Bruce Jenner can keep his wiener and be called a woman, I can keep my firearms and be considered disarmed.”

Just curious, is yours of the same era, or earlier?
I have a '66 F100 and I’ve read often to purchase a '73 - '76 for parts because you can bolt-hole swap the disk brakes, power steering, motor and tranny on to an earlier model like mine.
I’ve looked on CL a few times and there are some out there but too much $$

What parts in particular are you looking for?

It is a 78, but I need a new bed for it. When I got into the body work on it there is just a lot more damage on the bed than I want to tackle. The bed ranges from 73-79 for that body style. I actually want a 66. That’s what my dad had when I was growing up, and I used to drive all around the Francis Marion in it. And you are right about CL. I can’t believe the prices for some of them.

Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught.

And it is a short bed

Beds in good condition are hard to find, I have one that one side is all bashed in.
The beds on these trucks are the same from 73 to 96, just on a newer bed you have to cut the outer skins off and get replacement skins for the 78. If you look at inside of the bed on all of those years they are all the same. Back windows are all the same too. Ford was lazy and smart at the same time, so many parts swap around.

Here is mine next to my other '66 (Boston Whaler) I like old stuff

Very nice Optiker! I just picked up a 302 backed with a C6 today. Can’t wait to put it in.

Mines a 352 V8 with 3 on the tree. I’d kinda rather have an auto/C6 for the traffic here though… The manual tranny is cool but it needs a little maintenance - it can be a little sticky going from 1st to 2nd
