Looking for a big wood block to jack the trailer

Im looking for a big wood block to put under my trailer jack to jack it up even higher.

I’ve already got a high trailer jack, however I park my boat with the bow facing slightly downhill and it seems to hold a little rain water in the bow.

I was thinking one of those big green wood blocks would probably do the trick. Anyone know where I can aquire one on the cheap?

My buddy had the same problem, he just found a tree he didn’t need anymore and a chainsaw, and viola, instant jack stand, completely customizable to the perfect height you need.

Just go to Lowes/HD and buy 1 cinder block!

How big of a piece of wood do you need?
Other option would be to go to Northern Tool. Ask for the styrofoam shipping blocks that come with their trailers.
They are wrapped in plastic and will have no problem holding up your boat and are alot lighter to move.
12x12x18 blocks or around there.
I assume you have a foot and not wheels on your jack stand.

stop by the local dock builders shop and get a pile butt- they will have them in all sizes and lengths

I was thinking about the dock piling idea. They have to have something like that. Thanks guys

I got some 4x6 treated square pole ends from when I built my shop if you’re close to Lexington.

Back in my farming days if we didn’t have a large enough block for what we needed, we just stacked enough up to get our height.
