looking for a cheap inshore guide to show me around these waters and catch some shark my wife really wants to catch shark i dont care as long as im catching fish
There’s lots of great inshore charter captains in Charleston. You might want to search this site first and read their respective reports. Different guides specialize in different areas. Look at the top of this page and you’ll see a “charter” section.
Honestly though, you don’t need a guide to catch sharks. Go fish off folly pier or breach inlet or in front of fort moultrie with blue crab quarters or cut mullet. Carolina rig on the bottom. Steel leaders for toothy fish of course. Sit back and wait, they will find the bait.
If you want to catch other species like redfish, flounder, sheepshead, tarpon, or trout, it would be a good idea to take a charter as techniques, baits, tackle, and locations tend to be specific to the species.
Good luck and be sure to post a report after you go!
thanks
cant cach em at work
What he said, a guide to catch sharks seems sorta pointless to me, post in the match up section and get somebody to go on your boat to get some sharks. There’s over 200 guides in Charleston so you definitely need to marrow your search for where and what you want

I agree that sharks are plentiful in Charleston, especially in the summer. However, if you want to do a charter to catch sharks, I know a guy named Kevin Renno who has a business running inexpensive 2 hr charters in the harbor - http://sharkincharleston.com/
A lot of people talk about guides as resources for learning about fishing for specific species - Bob and trout, JR and tarpon, Stretch (John Fuss) and flounder/etc. Kevin is a good guy and you might learn what you need to know to catch them on your own!
I think most of the Sharking trips are about $100/hour and take 4-6 people.
