My wife’s friend has a parrot rescue.
Her daughter works at the animal shelter in North Myrtle Beach.
They average 8 birds a year turned in.
She has four in her home right now. Darn things are crazy loud.
These are the birds they have in Petsmart, but they’re like $600. Do people really pay that for a bird?
That and more. Some of those birds will form a bond like the best dog and live 40-80- years. Finches and parakeets (budgies) are relatively inexpensive. People are paying good money for niceties right now. Probably see prices drop in a year or so along with Horses, boats, side by sides and other such things.
Some of the parrots go crazy or quit eating when their owners die and have to be placed in special shelters.
