Went out of folly ramp up creek towards Crosby’s and caught several small sharks on fresh shrimp. Looking for some in the 10-20 pound range. Any suggestions on bait and area to try leaving from folly ramp. Thanks .
Fish the same areas with Half a blue crab and see if you can catch Bonnethead Sharks.

Same as CaptFritz said but try by creek mouths at low-tide sometimes you will see them fining and can pitch it in front of them but just don’t get to close or they will spook.
17ft Key west
Thanks for the info. Fish the banks or the middle of the channels?

Pro tip there ryan, welcome to the site
Thanks for sharing Fritz. And thanks to all not fussing about which forum.
I prefer fishing the deeper side of the waterway in 13 to 18 feet.
Go up the stono to Green Creek. Its right around the corner from where you are. Every time I go there I catch a bonnethead. I have been using menhaden.
Went out this morning and fished. Around the mouth of king flats creek i believe with blue crab caught a nice bonnethead 4 ft or so. My 4’year old was going nuts. Thanks for the info guys.
I’ve caught a bunch out in the middle of Stono River on the bottom with wire leader. Also, you can get up to the north end of Folly Beach, toss a leaky crab out about 20 yards and hang on… beaucoups d’ bonnets there.
Not around Folly, but Middle Ground in the Charleston Harbor at night is an excellent place to catch a lot of sharks. If your only after sharks try chumming the water.
