Hi guys I’m looking for a little general help. I’m new to fishing the S.C. coast I normally chase redfish in Louisiana but am looking to try S.C. since it’s much closer to home. I’m not looking for any x’s but if anyone would like to give me some general area guidance on an area to start in and or favorite marinas I would greatly appreciate it. I’m running a maverick tunnel and can run pretty skinny. Planning to be down to fish tomorrow through the weekend
Cooper and Wando Rivers are pretty good. Look for feeder creeks with oyster beds. I prefer the ebb tide, things tend to turn on when the water drains from the marsh grass and the bait fish are forced out. Good luck!
Thanks for the suggestions. Did a lot of riding today and fished a lot of good looking spots but haven’t seen a redfish yet. I’m gonna give it another try tomorrow. I really wanted to see some tailing reds but haven’t had any luck
You’re gonna be discouraged if you’re expecting LA type fishing.
