Looking for New GPS/Fishfinder Combo

I’m in the market for a new combo unit and don’t want to break the bank. $600 is about all I want to spend…I know that narrows it down pretty quickly. What are your thoughts Lowrance vs. Garmin? Any models in particular I need to check out? Thanks

Humminbird 597 with Navionics Gold card. Great unit for the money.

Garmin is great for GPS, Lowrance is best for sonar.

I would go with the Lowrance Elite 7 HD. A 5" screen is too small for running spilt screens.

Or get a 4" Garmin, and a 5" Lowrance or Humminbird. Should only cost about $300-$350 for each and you will have 2 nice size screens.

I’ve got garmin 541s. No complaints. I use the gps more than sonar though.

I have a Garmin 441s, wish I had the 541s…bigger screen. Other than that, it is a good unit.
